A HAPPIER PART OF PHNOM PENH

Vishna picked us up at 0830 this morning. First stop was the Royal Palace.

Stupa where the kings ashes are kept

Second he took us to see Wat Phnom, a temple built by Daun Penh for whom the city of Phnom Penh was named.

We saw a lot of vendors with cages full of finches.
For $1 you could free 2 of them for good luck.

We stopped at a local market on the way back to the hotel.

The Dairy Queen was on the way back to the hotel so we stopped and got another blizzard. The cold ice cream is so refreshing in the heat.

After a short stop at the hotel to check out and pick up our things, we headed back to the airport and a flight to Ho Chi Minh City formerly known as Saigon.
