OFF WE GO & HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

We got up Sunday morning, did
laundry, said goodbye to Zach, Logan & Graham, who had been here for 8
days, and took off for Barcelona, Spain. Our flight out of SLC was 45 minutes
late, so there was concern we would make our connecting flight in ORD and even
if we did whether or not Jim’s checked bag would make it. We got to the gate in
ORD 35 minutes before our flight to FRA was scheduled to leave & were relieved
to see United provide a bus from the A terminal to the C terminal. By the time
we got to the gate they were boarding Group 4, the last group. No way will
Jim’s bag make it…
It was an uneventful 8 hour flight
to Frankfurt, and we landed Monday morning at 0930-our 41st
anniversary. After a 4 hour layover we took off for the 2 hour flight to
Barcelona, arriving at 1630. Next stop baggage claim, where we took a seat and
waited. Lo & behold, around the carousel came Jim’s bag!! We were shocked
but ecstatic!
A 30 minute bus ride, followed by a
3 stop subway ride, followed by a 3 block walk had us arriving at our
apartment. It is a cute 5 room apartment-kitchenette, living room/dining room,
bathroom, & 2 bedrooms, one with a twin bed & the other with a king. It’s
great!
