WE’RE OFF!
Today we embark on our first winter trip. Jim has a “reduced
load semester” (meaning he has no classes), so a year ago we decided to take
the South America cruise that goes around the Horn of Magellan. When Jim was a flight
attendant one of the place he always wanted to go was Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,
but he never made it. One of the places to see on my bucket list is Igauassu
Falls. Thus it made sense we should start our trip in Brazil.
We flew from SLC to IAH (Houston), and after a 3 hour
layover we boarded a new 787 and started our overnight flight to Rio.
