6 MAY 2010-OUT CAME THE SUN AND DRIED UP (ALMOST) ALL THE RAIN

We woke this morning to a drenching rain, which the forecast had predicted. We had breakfast then came back to our room, where I read and took a nap. Jim woke me up around 12:30 and said lets go. The rain had stopped, so we took off down our hill.

This is Abbey Manor, our bed and breakfast.

By the time we got into the city the sun was peeking through the clouds and Table Mountain was out of the clouds. We hung out in the city park while Jim took pictures, then walked down to the waterfront.

Our ship, the Ocean Princess, had come into the port this morning, but we can't get on until 11 AM tomorrow.

We walked around, had some fish and chips and headed back for the B&B.

A quick little rain cloud went through and created a beautiful rainbow.

We split a Wimpy burger which wasn't very good, and stopped at a Woolworths (yes for you older generation, Woolworths) and bought a sandwich and pizza to eat in the room for dinner. It turned into a beautiful day, and tomorrow is supposed to be better.
