HOT! It is hot and muggy here. We took a ship’s tour today out to see the city of Ganvie. It is a city on stilts that was built several hundred years ago to protect it’s inhabitants, the Tofinu people, from being taken as slaves. It is located 15 kilometers fr

om the shore on Lake Nokaue. We boarded a rickety old pirogue for the 30 minute ride out. It was very interesting to see.

This afternoon Jim walked into town with Brynn, one of our dinner mates who is from Wales. He is quite a character. I was more than happy to stay in the nice cool room and watch a movie and cross stitch. Did I mention it is HOT here?
I worked out for an hour and a half in the fitness center on the stationary bike and elliptical, and Jim jogged for an hour.
