THE BEGINNING AND 
THE BEGINNING OF THE END

Gdansk, Poland is the city Hitler invaded which started World War II, and the city where Lech Walesa started the Solidarity Movement which was the beginning of the end of Communism in Eastern Europe. It was practically destroyed by the Russian Army as they passed through on their way to invade Germany, but it has been beautifully restored.
